Don:

Hey there, and welcome to another episode of Cannabis Stories where we share

Don:

the wild, funny, and sometimes downright bizarre tales from the world of weed.

Don:

Today’s story is about a first-timer’s high.

Don:

You know, that unforgettable experience when someone takes their first puff

Don:

of the magic herb and things...

Don:

well, they don’t exactly go as planned.

Don:

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this hilarious tale of Sam’s First Dance with Mary Jane.

Don:

So, let me set the scene for you.

Don:

Sam is your typical 30-something guy, a bit of a late bloomer when

Don:

it comes to the cannabis world.

Don:

He’s never really been into weed – not for any particular

Don:

reason, just never had the urge.

Don:

But after hearing all his friends rave about how relaxing it is and

Don:

how it can make a Friday night movie marathon ‘so much better,’ he decides,

Don:

What the heck, let’s give this a try.

Don:

Sam’s not one to dive headfirst into anything without a little research.

Don:

So, he reads up, asks a few friends, and settles on trying an edible.

Don:

Because, you know, smoking seems a bit intense for a first-timer, and edibles?

Don:

They’re just like a snack, right?

Don:

Now, here’s where things get interesting.

Don:

Sam’s friend, let’s call him Dave, is the self-proclaimed ‘weed guru’ of the group.

Don:

Dave gives Sam a brownie – a delicious, innocent-looking

Don:

square of chocolatey goodness.

Don:

And here’s the key detail: Dave says, ‘Sam, only eat half.

Don:

Trust me on this.

Don:

Edibles hit different.

Don:

But Sam – bless his cautious heart – decides to take it slow.

Don:

He cuts the brownie into quarters, figuring, ‘Hey, I’ll

Don:

start small and see how I feel.

Don:

So, Sam eats his tiny piece of brownie, sits back on the couch, and waits.

Don:

And waits.

Don:

And waits some more.

Don:

After about 45 minutes, nothing’s happening.

Don:

Sam’s just sitting there, feeling completely normal.

Don:

So, he thinks, ‘Okay, maybe this isn’t enough.

Don:

Maybe I need to eat more.’

Don:

You know where this is going, right?

Don:

So, Sam eats another quarter.

Don:

And then another.

Don:

And still, nothing.

Don:

At this point, he’s feeling a bit cheated.

Don:

He’s thinking, ‘What’s the big deal?

Don:

Why is everyone so hyped about this?

Don:

I don’t feel a thing

Don:

Another 30 minutes go by, and now Sam’s eaten the entire brownie.

Don:

Every last crumb.

Don:

And that, dear listeners, is when the universe decided to flip the switch.

Don:

Suddenly, it hits him.

Don:

Like a freight train.

Don:

Sam’s sitting on his couch when, out of nowhere, his body feels like

Don:

it’s melting into the cushions.

Don:

His arms are heavy, his legs are heavy, heck, even his thoughts are heavy.

Don:

He tries to get up, but gravity’s got him in a death grip.

Don:

Panic sets in – you know, that classic ‘Oh no, I’m too high’ moment.

Don:

And then, as if things weren’t bad enough, Sam’s stomach starts growling.

Don:

The munchies have arrived, and they’re demanding snacks.

Don:

But here’s the catch: Sam’s too high to move.

Don:

He’s staring at the kitchen like it’s miles away, knowing that

Don:

if he could just make it to the fridge, everything would be okay.

Don:

But the fridge might as well be on the moon.

Don:

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Don:

Sam does the only thing he can think of – he calls Dave.

Don:

And the conversation goes something like this:

Ethan:

‘Dave...

Ethan:

I think I’m dying.

Henry:

‘What?

Henry:

What happened?

Ethan:

‘The brownie...

Ethan:

I ate the whole thing.

Henry:

Dude, I told you to eat half!

Henry:

How do you feel?

Ethan:

I can’t feel anything...

Ethan:

except hunger.

Ethan:

Help!

Don:

Dave, being the good friend he is, rushes over with a survival kit – chips,

Don:

cookies, and a gallon of orange juice.

Don:

Because, according to Dave, orange juice is the magical cure for being too high.

Don:

So there they are, Sam sprawled out on the couch, stuffing his face with

Don:

snacks while Dave tries to reassure him that he’s not, in fact, dying.

Don:

Eventually, Sam’s high starts to mellow out.

Don:

He’s no longer convinced that the couch is trying to eat him, and he

Don:

can finally move his limbs again.

Don:

The rest of the night is a blur – a mix of giggles, munchies, and that

Don:

deep, philosophical conversation about the universe that seems to

Don:

come naturally when you’re stoned.

Don:

By the next morning, Sam’s feeling back to normal, though a bit embarrassed.

Don:

He swears he’s never touching edibles again, but deep down, he

Don:

knows he’s got a story for the ages.

Don:

And that, my friends, is how Sam learned the golden rule of

cannabis:

respect the edible.

cannabis:

So, whether you’re a seasoned stoner or a curious newbie, just remember – start

cannabis:

slow, know your limits, and maybe have a friend like Dave on speed dial.
